|
What can I expect on a typical Sunday?
We have Sunday bible study at 9:40 am, where we study various topics of Scripture.
There is a short break.
Then the morning worship service begins at 10:45 am.
It lasts for about one hour and fifteen minutes.
Then we talk over some snacks and refreshments. We have a potluck lunch once a month.
There is also an evening service at 5 pm. |

Why do we recite the Apostles' Creed and the Nicene Creed?
* Throughout the history of the church, there have been false teachers who tried to lead people away from God and away from the church by teaching heresies, or false teachings that do not agree with God's Word. Faithful pastors and other leaders of the church held council meetings to discuss controversial issues, combat false teachings, and to clarify what Christians believe. The Apostles' Creed and the Nicene Creed along with other creeds and confessions were formulated by much thought and debate to clarify and affirm what true Christians believe. At Gospel Life Church, we confess our faith as one church by reciting these creeds to show that we continue in the rich heritage of the faithful believers from the past.
What about the children?
|
* You can expect children to be in the worship service with the entire family.
We believe that God made a covenant to bless the entire family and that He works
through the parents to train up their children in the Lord. We observe that children
who worship with the adults grow in maturity at a greater pace than if they had
their own children's service. For infants 0-3 years of age, we have a nursery area
with padded floor mats and some fun stuff adjacent to the worship service area.

What kind of a worship service? |
|
|
Simply Scriptural
We try to make
our worship services as simple as possible so that the focus
will be on God.
Some people ask, "How do you figure out what to do in a worship service?"
We just tell them we get it from scripture.
|
|
|
Focus on
the Gospel
We believe that
the worship service
is a presentation of
the gospel message
from start to finish.
It reaches its climax with the sermon,
but you'll see
a smooth, logical progression of
the gospel message through the entire worship service.

Focus on the heart,
not on the looks. |
|
|
Some people dress business casual. Others choose to dress comfortably in jeans and sneakers. We don't place too much of an emphasis on how we look on the outside. We hope you will come just as you are but leave with renewed minds and changed hearts. |

The Voice of Violins
and Acapella
We love the sound of the human voice, so we try to accentuate it with musical instruments that enhance the human voice.
Currently we sing with a guitar, violin or piano keyboard accompaniment. We need more instruments, so if you know how to play, come and join us.
